ECL was founded in 1982 as a privately owned company to address the emerging demand for professional engineering services within the domestic oil and gas business. Since this time, ECL has matured into a multi-disciplined design company, providing detailed engineering services on a global basis to the upstream energy industry.

With offices in both Lafayette, La and Houston, TX, ECL offers detailed design support to major oil companies, independent operators, project management firms, fabricators, offshore contractors and manufacturers worldwide. While the initial intent of our company was to assist clients along the Gulf Coast Region, we have since diversified to engineer projects for the North Sea, Cook Inlet Alaska, North and West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Australia.

For the past 28 years ECL has consistently continued to provide the correct level of detail to clients at competitive rates. Our professional design staff has the knowledge and experience to engineer structures, facilities, and marine buildings in a time and cost effective manner that is most beneficial to our customers. ECL routinely provides turnkey engineering services to both contractors for design/construct projects and to operators for fast track projects and marginal field developments. With solid experience in the design of conventional platforms, production facilities, minimal concept structures, mobile production units and marine buildings, our staff is able to assist in developing an appropriate project plan, which is executed with the right degree of design service based upon each client's own needs.
